Location:
Southwest Wisconsin

MAHS would like to thank everyone who attended our 2013 MAHS Field Outing, which was TONS of fun! The tally was 5 common garters, several northern leopard and pickerel frogs, 1 Eastern Milk with pretty red blotches, Prairie ringneck snake, desiccated painted and Blanding’s turtle shells, and 7 Timbers including a yearling. In addition, we had along Dominique Keller, DVM, PhD and Jeff Lorch, Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology University of Wisconsin-Madison to lend expertise on identifying and taking any samples of Snake Fungal Disease (SFD), where unfortunately we believe to have found it. The trip was a success, and we hope to do it again next year with some new areas.
